Il soutient une th\u00e8se en Sciences de l\u2019\u00c9ducation \u00e0 Lyon II en 2004 sur l\u2019\u00e9ducation morale aux prises avec les contes merveilleux. \u00c0 partir de 2006, il occupe un poste d\u2019enseignant-chercheur en sciences de l\u2019\u00e9ducation \u00e0 l\u2019UCO \u00e0 Angers. Il a soutenu, en f\u00e9vrier 2017, une HDR sur le th\u00e8me de l\u2019attention entre pr\u00e9sence et m\u00e9diation. Plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, il s\u2019agit de comprendre la tension, dans ce cadre, entre une culture \u00ab prescrite \u00bb et l\u2019orientation des enfants vers les artefacts num\u00e9riques. Il est professeur en sciences de l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation depuis septembre 2019.
